Experimental Runs

The table below shows the sample sizes and corresponding number of runs for each nut. Each experimental run was 300 seconds long, to allow the sensor voltage to level off. Every two runs the sensors were allowed to rest for 300 seconds to prevent the sensor temperature from getting too high. We found in preliminary trials that the sensors would become very hot after being on for a while.

 

 

 

 

The Labview GUI would save and plot the sensors’ voltage throughout the run. The voltage value we used in our data analysis was the voltage that the sensor leveled off to.
