• Dr. Sandeep Gogineni (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2012), won the First Place Award in the Student Paper Competition at the 6th International Waveform Diversity and Design Conference, Kauai, Hawaii, January 22-27, 2012.
• Dr. Vanessa Tidwell (Ph.D. WUSTL, 2013) with co-authors, published a paper in Nature Protocols in January 2012.
• Dr. Satyabrata Sen (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), became Wigner Fellow with the Complex Systems Group in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
• Dr. Sandeep Gogineni (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2012), was selected among the finalists for the Student Paper Competition in the 2011 IEEE DSP/SPE Workshop. This workshop was held at Sedona, AZ.
• Dr. Murat Akcakaya (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), won the Third Place Award in the Student Paper Contest at the 44th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, Pacific Grove, CA, November 7-10, 2010.
• Dr. Murat Akcakaya and Dr. Satyabrata Sen (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), won the First and Second Place Awards, respectively, of the Student Paper Competition at the 5th International Waveform Diversity and Design conference, Niagara Falls, Canada, August 8-13, 2010. • Dr. Bertrand Hochwald (Ph.D., WUSTL, 1995), became Freimann Professor of Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame, in Spring 2011.
• Dr. Zhi Liu (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2007), became co-founder and Vice President, Hisgadget INC, 2010.
• Dr. Murat Akcakaya, (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), won the Third Place Award in the Student Paper Competition at the IEEE International Radar Conference, Washington, DC, May 10-14, 2010. The paper is titled "MIMO radar detection and adaptive design in compound-Gaussian clutter," by Murat Akcakaya and Arye Nehorai.
• Joshua York, ESE senior in Electrical Engineering, won the first place award at the St. Louis Area Undergraduate Research Symposium (STLAURS), on April 4, 2009, for his research on acoustic source localization under the supervision of Dr. Arye Nehorai, Patricio La Rosa and Ed Richter. more
• Dr. Bertand Hochwald (Ph.D.,Yale, 1995) became Fellow of the IEEE in 2007.
  
• Dr. Daniela Donno (master, UIC, 2005) won the Student Paper Contest of ICASSP 2006, see http://www.icassp2006.org/SPCWinners.asp. The paper (based on Daniela's master's thesis) is titled "Seismic velocity/polarization estimation and polarized wavefield separation," by Daniela Donno, Arye Nehorai, and Umberto Spagnolini.
