- Dr. Phani Chavali (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2013), was promoted to VP and Head of Engineering & Data Science for Global Plant Breeding Research, Bayer, St. Louis, Missouri, in November 2024.

- Dr. Gongguo Tang (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2011), became Associate Professor, Department of Electrical, Computer, & Energy Engineering, University of Colorado Boulder, in 2021.
- Dr. Zhi Liu (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2007), the Tribit products of the company he co-founded have become the most-award-won new brand in the US consumer audio industry since 2018. Tribit products have been ranked at the top of Wirecutter and other online product-review evaluators.
- Dr. Bertrand Hochwald (Ph.D., Yale, 1995), inducted as a Fellow into the National Academy of Inventors in 2020.
- Dr. Mianzhi Wang (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2018), was selected for the 2019 IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Young Author Best Paper Award, for M. Wang and A. Nehorai, "Coarrays, MUSIC, and the Cramér-Rao bound," IEEE Trans. on Signal Processing, Vol. 65, No. 4, Feb. 2017. Mianzhi was one of the three recipients of this award this year.
- Dr. Murat Akcakaya (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), received a 5-year NSF CAREER award titled "CAREER: Towards a Biologically Informed Intervention for Emotionally Dysregulated Adolescents and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder" totaling $550.000. (News release)
- Dr. Pinaki Sarder (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), received a 5-year NIH R01 grant titled "Computational Imaging of Renal Structures for Diagnosing Diabetic Nephropathy," totaling nearly $1.5 million in September, 2018.

- Dr. Pinaki Sarder (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), was selected to receive the University of Buffalo Exceptional Scholars - Young Investigator Award, 2018.
- Dr. Sandeep Gogineni (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2012), won the 2018 IEEE Dayton Section Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Award in March, 2018.
- Dr. Patricio La Rosa (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), was elected to become Monsanto Science Fellow in January, 2018.

- Dr. Satyabrata Sen (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2010), was awarded the 2016 Sidney D. Drell Academic Award by Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), in February, 2016, at a ceremony in Washington DC. - Dr. Bertrand Hochwald (Ph.D., Yale, 1995), won a major NSF grant of $1.2M titled "Modeling, Analysis, and Code Design for Portable Wireless Device Transmitters Subject to an Electromagnetic Exposure Constraint," in January 2016. [Video] [News source]
- Dr. Phani Chavali (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2013), became a Data Science Lead for the newly formed Cognitive Systems Group within the Plant Breeding Organization at Monsanto, in October, 2015. In this role, Phani will lead a group of scientists working at the intersection of machine learning and optimization and develop new methods that drive genetic gain.
- Dr. Dania Gutiérrez (Ph. D., UIC, 2005), was appointed as Academic Secretary of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav) at Monterrey, November 2015. She will be in charge of all the affairs of the MSc and PhD programs in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics in that institution for the next two years.
- Dr. Gang Shi (Ph.D., WUSTL, 2006), won the 1000 Youth Talents Plan at State Key Laboratory of Integrated Services Networks, Xidian University, in May 2015.
- Dr. Bertrand Hochwald (Ph.D., Yale, 1995), was named to Thomson Reuters' list of " The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds: 2014".
- Dr. Zhao Tan (Ph.D. student, WUSTL), won the Best Student Paper Award (3rd place) at Proc. Fifth Intl. Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP), St. Martin, December 2013.
